Information ToothForm handles

ToothForm: Dental Anatomy 3D (ToothForm) is an offline educational tooth atlas. Its 3D tooth models, anatomy summaries, study citations, and model credits are bundled with the app. The atlas works without an internet connection; only the optional reference links described below need one. The app does not collect your app data off your device. It has no accounts, advertising, tracking, third-party analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, network service, or developer-operated server. We do not sell your app data or use it for advertising.

The app does not import, open, or store patient records, photographs, scans, or other personal files. It does not request access to the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photo library, or files.

Local storage

ToothForm does not save your tooth selections, tissue visibility or opacity, ray-tracing choice, or camera positions after you close a window. Both rendering modes process the bundled models on your device; they do not send geometry, images, or interaction history to a server. Camera recovery and retrying interrupted ray-tracing work also happen entirely on your device and add no data collection or transmission.

The operating system may remember window size and position on a Mac or restore an open scene on iPhone and iPad according to your system settings. Device and computer backups follow your Apple settings.

To start faster, the app keeps a precomputed copy of its built-in studio lighting in its own cache folder; it contains no personal data or interaction history and is rebuilt if removed. Its cache key reflects the built-in lighting, graphics hardware and operating-system version so incompatible cached lighting can be replaced; this information stays on your device.

Removing the app from an iPhone or iPad removes its container; removing the app bundle on a Mac may leave system window-restoration state and that lighting cache behind.

Sources & credits and the anatomy sections link to published studies, model sources, and license pages. Opening a link uses your browser, and the destination website may receive your IP address and browser request information under its own privacy policy. ToothForm does not attach any app data to those links.

Children's privacy

ToothForm is intended for dental students and educators. It does not collect app data off the device from children or adults.

Apple diagnostics

Apple may share diagnostics and usage statistics according to your sharing settings. Any reports we receive are used to improve reliability. See Apple's App Analytics & Privacy notice (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/app-analytics/).

Support and privacy requests

Contact Sansar Gupta at sansargupta10@gmail.com. If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send; your email provider also handles that correspondence. We use it to respond and investigate the issue, and retain it only as long as needed for those purposes or applicable legal obligations. You may contact the same address to request access, correction, or deletion of correspondence we hold.

Do not send patient identifiers, identifiable clinical screenshots, scans, photographs, or medical records through ordinary support email or public GitHub issues. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete app data stored only on your device.

Visiting this policy online

This policy page contains no advertising, analytics scripts, or cookies added by the developer. When hosted on GitHub Pages, GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security. See GitHub's privacy statement (https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement).

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy and its date when our data practices change. The app links to the published privacy page from Sources & credits and, on Mac, the Help menu. Opening that page requires an internet connection. This repository copy records the current source policy; updating the repository does not by itself update the hosted page.

Language support

ToothForm is currently available in English only. It does not use a translation service or download language models.
